Completion of the entire Volunteer Application is the first step in requesting to participate as a volunteer at PMT's Clinic & Studio.
Volunteer FAQs
How old do you need to be as a volunteer?
-
Volunteers should be 16 or up, unless accompanied by a guardian.
Where does volunteering occur?
-
You can volunteer at our headquarters at 224 Westinghouse Blvd, Ste 608, Charlotte, NC 28273.
What are typical volunteer projects?
-
Volunteer projects may range from sanitizing equipment, organizing & labeling materials, distributing informational cards at fairs with staff, supporting individuals with holding instruments or iPads, loading or unloading instruments at community events, etc.
How can I schedule a volunteer project for my club, group or organization?
-
If you would like to schedule a volunteer project, please contact us at least 6 weeks prior since we would appreciate support! “We’re all in this together,” and can prepare a project at our clinic space for your group during the day or after hours, pending the quantity of volunteers.
Can I observe a music therapy session?
-
We appreciate interest in learning more about music therapy treatment; however, our clinic is not large enough to welcome observers. Please consider area colleges or universities that offer music therapy as a degree program, and may have a better learning environment for clients who consent to a single observation with two-way viewing mirrors.
