Gabrielle Kornmayer
Gabrielle Kornmayer, MT-BC, Neurologic Music Therapist received her bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte and completed her music therapy internship at Piedmont Music Therapy in 2021.
She has experience working in a variety of communities, including substance use disorder recovery, mental health settings, veteran support, adults and children with physical and intellectual disabilities, individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions, and stroke and TBI recovery. Gabrielle is passionate about encouraging self-care and mental well-being in the communities she serves, aiming to provide inclusive and transferable treatment outcomes through therapeutic musical experiences.

Miriam Tart
Miriam completed her undergraduate degree in Music Performance at Corban University then received an equivalency/Master of Music Therapy Degree at Appalachian State University.
Internship training occurred at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. She views the opportunity to work with her clients as a gift and finds joy in being with clients as they move towards their goals. Her clinical experience includes working with children with communication and developmental delays, older adults in a rehabilitative center, adults in acute psychiatric care, and at-risk youth in the community.

Gretchen Chardos Benner
Alumna: Duquesne University & University of Pittsburgh
Gretchen has worked as Adjunct Music Therapy Practicum Supervisor at Queens University of Charlotte and Adjunct Field Instructor for the Department of Social Work at Winthrop University. She has experience working in a variety of settings such as inpatient psychiatry, substance use disorders and oncology. Gretchen is honored to serve the Carolinas with a strong team of music therapists and support access to creative and expressive arts in the Charlotte Metro.

Molli Smith
Molli received her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte and completed her internship at Piedmont Music Therapy in 2023.
Her clinical experience includes early childhood education, children, teens, and adults with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and older adults with dementia and related illnesses. Molli is passionate about meeting individuals where they are, and providing an inclusive and encouraging environment in which connection and growth can foster themes of emotional expression, resilience, self-esteem, and skill acquisition through shared musical intervention.

Anne Frances Frazier
Anne Frances recently completed her clinical internship at PMT and graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Music in music therapy in May of 2026.
She was born and raised in Wilmington, NC and her primary instrument is voice. Anne Frances is passionate about supporting individuals of all abilities, and she loves to foster environments filled with warmth, encouragement, and song.
Piedmont Music Therapy is honored to be a recipient of the City of Charlotte’s Creative Growth Grant. Designed to increase equity and access to the arts across Charlotte, this award provides vital operational support that allows PMT to strengthen our internal capacity. Through this grant, we are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Stalford as PMT’s contract grant writer. This investment in behind-the-scenes support helps ensure the sustainability of our programs and enables us to continue expanding access to music therapy services for individuals and families throughout our community.
