What's the dress code for recitals?

Requested attire for recitals is dressed up for a church service or ticketed event.

Where are recitals located?

Recitals occur in rented halls in the community of Charlotte Metro due to accessibility reasons. Most often they are held at Mecklenburg Hall - South Mecklenburg Church -  8601 Bryant Farms Rd, Charlotte, NC 28277 with the performances and reception in the same large space.

What's the arrival time & how long is the program?

Call time is typically 15 minutes prior to the start time. If it’s a 1:30pm Program, families are asked to arrive no later than 1:15pm.

Pending the number of clients & students that would like to perform, the recital lasts 75 - 90 minutes.

Guests are encouraged to use the entire hall to move around during the recital and craft supplies are provided at table areas to support attendees too.

Can we bring guests?

Yes, you are welcome to invite your friends or family members. An estimated headcount is requested the week prior to assist with preparations for seating & reception food/drinks.

Are recitals recorded?

Recitals are not recorded. Guests are asked to only record their loved one’s performance to respect performers during the program.

Are there printed programs?

There are digital programs available and a few programs are printed to assist performers with the program order.

If your business is interested in sponsoring the recital through covering the rental costs, staff time, volunteering to set-up and clean-up the hall, printing the programs or providing the reception food and drinks, please contact PMT.

Is there a cost to participate?

The participation fee is $20, which is billed at the start of the recital month, typically twice per year: once in May and again in November.
