Well we're mid-summer already... wow?!


This southern heat poses some of the following  challenges as a music therapist and private music instructor traveling around town:
​

1. needing to seek shaded parking and crack the windows with all of the instruments in tow
2. having hot coffee available and waiting for me in the car all hours of the day
3. hauling my stringed instruments into my shopping cart at the grocery store on the commute home
4. requiring extra ice packs within my cooler for snacks, meals and pumped milk​

As the summer wraps up and school related folks are getting their "back to school" modes with scheduling and squeezing in stellar staycations, I wanted to share with you how grateful I am to be in this community of Greater Charlotte. Though my roots in Pittsburgh are deeply planted in black and yellow soil (cue Wiz Khalifa's Song), I have appreciated the many networks of therapists, educators and friends in this area of The Carolinas. It is with great ease that I surrender the conductor's baton of my private practice to my team while I take some personal time away for health reasons.

Wishing you a safe and enjoyable rest of the summer while gently encouraging folks to stay hydrated and protected from the sun's rays!
