The studio is accepting music students of ALL abilities and ages - teacher bios available here
New students enrolling in lessons need to complete the New Student Questionnaire to help start the process of joining our studio. Upon receipt, staff from PMT will email or call the family for scheduling lessons. Weekly Lesson Rates for ages 5+ are $35 - traditional or $40 - adapted effective May 1, 2024.
Recital Fee applied twice annually (in May and November) is $20 participant. If more than one family member performs then 25% reduced fee for each additional performer. Students are encouraged to regularly practice at home for skill acquisition. Our studio requests one month notice in person to discontinue lessons. Families are emailed monthly invoices of scheduled lessons. Method books are to be ordered by student families for home shipment option.
Fall Studio Recitals are for families & friends, and in the Spring the Studio Recitals travel to a community location for volunteer service experience pre-COVID-19. See photos below for recent studio performances!

Beginner Musical Instrument Courses
Uke Can Do It: Series 1
Upper elementary school aged children through young adults are invited to enroll in: Uke Can Do It! The introductory course on your soprano ukulele includes 3-30 minute lectures by Ashley Tisdale, MT-BC that you can watch on your own.
You'll learn several basic chords and strumming patterns, anatomy of the stringed instrument and basic musical elements such as rhythmic notation. A variety of songs will be introduced and students can practice on provided music or use their own song interests. Chord sheets with lyrics will be available for download with this course.

Middle school aged children through young adults are invited to enroll in: Uke Can Do It - Series 2! The course on your soprano ukulele includes 3-30 minute lectures by Ashley Tisdale, MT-BC that you can watch from home.
A variety of songs will be explored and students can practice on provided music or use their own song interests. Exploration of intermediate chords for harmony will be covered with education on musical elements of rhythmic accompaniment, dynamics and musical form. Drum Set Series 1
The introductory course for playing the drum set includes 3-30 minute lectures by Ms. Ashley Tisdale, MT-BC that you can watch on your own schedule with your instrument at home.
In this beginner friendly drum set e-course, students will learn how to hold the sticks, basic playing techniques, and drum set and rhythmic notation. Supplemental worksheet will be available for download with this course.

Children ages 5 and older are welcome to enroll in Beginning Piano - Series 1! The introductory course for your piano or digital keyboard includes 3-30 minute lectures by Gretchen Benner, LMSW, MT-BC that you can watch on your own schedule with your instrument at home.
Students will learn about the instrument, musical alphabet and beginning basics of technique and musical notation. Some songs will be played and students can practice on their own with encouragement. Supplemental worksheets will be available for download with this course and sent to enrolled students upon purchase.

Enrollees will learn more about the instrument, beginning basics of technique, musical notation and explore elements of dynamics and articulation.
