Resolutions for a New Year

MUSIC Related Resolutions: New Learning, Listening & PLAyING

This blog post was inspired by the York County Library News, Information & Events Publication dated Spring 2018. In the final article six reading resolutions were offered to inspire patrons in 2018. Read below to learn about the music related resolutions that we pondered after considering theirs:

1. Discover local musicians by attending a live music performance
2. Listen to a new artist or different arrangement of a favorite piece of music each #musicMonday
3. Create a music playlist for an activity, i.e. cooking, cleaning, commuting or exercising.
4. Watch a music video for the first time.
5. Learn a new song or instrument by taking individual lessons or joining a small group to learn together.
6. Research the Golden Globe Winners for movie scores or musicals.
7. Support creative and expressive arts in your community.
8. Donate an unused instrument to a local non-profit organization or business for it to be regularly played
9. Find the lyrics to one of the songs you enjoy listening to and verify you've been singing the correct lyrics all along!
