Have you heard of the North Carolina Establish Music Therapy Practice Act? It's house bill #192 that was introduced on February 27, 2017 to the General Assembly of NC. This licensure could ensure that folks designating themselves as music therapists are licensed and qualified to professionally practice in the Tar Heel State. Having this bill pass could help to increase access and affordability for consumers. Becoming a licensed profession could help with accountability and professional representation.
