Adult Beginning Piano: Series 1 Enrollment (April 27 - May 1)
Adults are invited to enroll in Beginning Piano - Series 1. The introductory course includes 3-30 minute lectures by Gretchen Benner, LMSW, MT-BC that you can watch on your own schedule with your piano or keyboard at home. To conclude the course, students have an option to virtually meet with the instructor for 15 minutes, per their availability, on Friday, May 1st.
Episodes will be available to watch April 27 - May 1. Virtual Time with Instructor will be scheduled on Friday, May 1: morning or afternooon (EST). The individual Q&A opportunity is optional - no pressure at all! Google HangOut link will be sent to enrollees - you will need to allow camera/mic access to your device when joining on a computer/laptop. If using a phone for the Players Party, please download Google Hangout (no purchase necessary) prior to the meeting.
Students will learn about the instrument, musical alphabet and beginning basics of technique and musical notation. Some songs will be played and students can practice on their own. Supplemental worksheets will be available for download with this course and sent to enrolled students on April 27. Plus, resources will be shared if students are interested in learning to play more with method books or virtual lessons.
