The mission of Piedmont Music Therapy, LLC is to engage, empower and accompany individuals to reach their goals grounded in the frameworks of music therapy and social work. PMT strives to meet students and clients where they are and support them in improving their quality of life. Additionally PMT serves to promote the growth of music therapy students and board certified music therapists by offering educational opportunities. PMT is an Approved Provider #P - 175 from The Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT).

PMT will offer the course Philosophy What? Revisiting the Principles and Assumptions That Underlie My Practice instructed by Meg Johnson, MMT, MT-BC and Dr. Varvara Pasiali, MT-BC on Sunday, August 5 from 2 - 5pm (postponed from June). Here is the promo flier:
The 3 credit course "Make It Your Own: How to Incorporate World Rhythms and Improvisation" instructed by Ashley Tisdale, MT-BC scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2018 has been postponed. Check back for the rescheduled date in Fall 2018. Here is the flier with training details postponed from June:
Instructors of CMTE Courses offered through Approved Provider #P-175 have extensive experience and knowledge about related courses with a minimum of three years as a board certified music therapist.
Participants of CBMT approved trainings through Piedmont Music Therapy, LLC #P-175 have the right to file a grievance. The content of grievance must be electronically submitted via writing with an outline of the problem and a preferred solution. Upon receipt the participant will receive confirmation of electronic receipt from Approved Provider and then an emailed resolution within 14 days. If the offered resolution is unsatisfactory then the individual has the right to appeal the decision. Via email, the individual must respond to the Approved Provider with disagreement to the resolution and list the reason(s) for appealing the decision. Approved Provider will review the appeal via email and respond to confirm receipt of the appeal and then offer another resolution within 14 days. If the grievance is still unresolved after the appeal process then attendee has the right to contact CBMT Continuing Education Comittee to request supporting the unresolved grievance.
